ARE YOU ABOUT TO TAKE EXAMS ?

Don’t forget to read the following tips!

v  Always think positive.
v  Always be hopeful and don't doubt yourself on the eve of the examinations
v  Sleep well before exams, so your mind will be alert before, after, and during the exam.
v  Study less, with more concentration, if possible. If you want to study for a long time then you can take breaks in between to regain your concentration after you return from the break.
v  Always remember to ask your teachers if you do not know what she is talking about or if you need more information. The teacher will gladly help.
v  Always try to be happy, don't give stress to the personal matter while studying
v  It’s better to study slowly rather than cramming at the last minute.
v  Revise the work that you did in class on the same day.
v  Eat breakfast -- it will help you concentrate.
v  Keep your phone, TV, laptop switched off while studying.
v  Don't be overconfident, always anticipate the hardest question, and then everything will seem easier.
v  Don't be too dependent on the teacher.
v  Don't study only on the night before the exam. Study everything bit by bit when you come home from school every day. It's no use studying everything in one shot.
v  Understand what is being taught. Ask questions if you don't.
v  Ask your teacher what are some things you can do to study for the exam
v  Never be late for exams.
v  You should eat only as much as required. Try not to put stress on both your stomach AND your mind.
v  If you fail, don't stress, hence the last tip! You've gotten so far, and you can make it back up there!
v  Cheating won't solve your exam problems, it will just end up with getting you busted. Just study well. Getting good grades that were earned honestly will motivate you to study and achieve even more. You'll also feel better when you get your grade!

GOOD LUCK TO EVERYBODY!!!
… and don’t forget you are all so brilliant students!

THE IMPORTANCE OF LEARNING A FOREIGN LANGUAGE

Learning a new language can be a highly enjoyable experience. Not only does learning a new language teach you about another culture, it can enhance students' job prospects and knowledge of their native language.

Languages are beautiful. Language is what makes us human. It is the medium we use to share our thoughts with the world. Could you imagine thought without language? Great language also has a wonderful musical quality. Learning a new language is like learning a new way to think and a new way to sing. Don’t sell yourself short by stubbornly ignoring every language but one. I know this might not make sense at first but hear me out. As a person who speaks only one language you have no basis for comparison; all you know is Greek. In different languages the same idea is often expressed in different ways. Knowing another language gives you a great measuring stick. It will help you better understand tenses, prepositions, and all the other parts of speech we normally take for granted. You will find yourself speaking and writing more precise creative sentences. There is a reason most great writers and poets are students of many languages.
Foreign languages are also important to those working in business, communications and nearly every other career track. A foreign language opens up job opportunities for everyone. It is a great medium to join the global community – The truth is new thoughts and ideas are happening everywhere and they are not being immediately translated. The world is getting smaller and we are coming into contact with more non-Greek speakers all the time. Gain an advantage for yourself in business and personal relationships by being able to communicate with people in their language. This will set you apart and gain you immediate respect and credibility.
Knowing a foreign language helps enhancing your travel experiences – Traveling is one of the great joys of life and also one of the most expensive. Why not get the most out of your experience? As a person who doesn’t know the native tongue you are completely excluded from the culture. The locals shun you and you are relegated to sightseeing and taking cheesy photos. Knowing even a few phrases of the language will make a huge difference. You will meet many more people and find it much easier to get around. People are much more receptive if you make an effort to speak their language. This can turn a frustrating experience into the trip of a lifetime. What is more, it helps you expand your view of the world as it exposes you to modes of thought and viewpoints that are available only in the foreign language and its culture.

In a world that is increasingly interdependent, we can no longer afford to remain monolingual. Success depends in large measure on the ability of an individual to function as a member of a global village whose members speak a variety of languages. Learning foreign languages is no longer a pastime: it is a necessity.

Mary and the witch’s cruse

Once up on a time there was a small village, where there aren’t many inhabitants. Mary was a little girl who lived with her family in the biggest house of the village.
In the school Mary was alone because the other children don’t like her, and the reason was that they were afraid of her and everybody knows why. Mary wasn’t a normal girl like the others was different. She could talk with humans who weren’t alive. She had the gift of God which no one else had, she was special.

BULLYING

Bullying is a big problem. It can make kids feel hurt, scared, sick, lonely, embarrassed and sad. Bullies might hit, kick, or push to hurt people or use words to call names, threaten, tease or scare them. A bully might make fun of someone or try to make them do things that they don’t want to do. It is a big problem that affects a lot of children every year. For a child it can be his greatest fear and can make him feel sad or sick. It also makes him don’t want to play outside or with their friends and it’s hard to keep his mind on schoolwork when he is worried about what will happen after. So now you know that bullying is a big problem that affects a lot of kids, but what do you do if someone is bullying you?

CHESS

One of the best board games is chess. Chess makes us more intelligent. While you are playing chess, you are thinking more strategically. Every game is different and suspenseful. Chess is one of my favorite games. I like playing chess with my friends!!! I also take part in chess competitions and win prizes!!!!!!

What’s in fashion?

Nowadays clothes play a key role for our appearance. Teenagers like wearing cool and trendy clothes but they don’t spend a lot of money on them. They often wear jeans and tight trousers with different blouses. They also like cardigans and jackets very much. Every time they go to parties, they like wearing beautiful but comfortable clothes. Girls don’t usually wear skirts because they don’t feel comfortable. Coats are in fashion and suit with all clothes. Girls like accessories too.
